Within a short walk of 200 meters is the Ano Hersonissos main square with local traditional taverns, café, mini markets and grocery stores, where you can buy what you like. Many Greek soirees are also organized there with traditional Cretan music and dances.
A 3 km stroll or ride to the harbor of Hersonissos offers you more options to a bigger market, to small remote beaches or to central ones organized with water sports and cosmopolitan activities. A big market with various shops but also bars and restaurants by the sea are waiting you to make your holidays enjoyable.
It is highly recommended to rent a car in order to be able to explore the island. The History, the archaeological sites, the protected biotopes, the gorges, the caves, the mountains and the walking paths through the villages, the tradition and the contact with the local tradition remain very important for our guests!!
Various sports activities such as tennis, biking, high standards golf facilities, water sports, diving and aqua splash are also available within 1 – 4 km distance from our hotel.
There are plenty of important museums and archaeological sites on the island, some of them close to our area and some others a bit further.
The small villages in the wider region are waiting to give you the best taste of the Cretan hospitality and the warmth of the local people.
